Summary
The long-awaited correspondence is a comprehensive and central document on the life and thinking of the philosopher and on the collaboration of his brother, who copied his manuscripts from autumn 1938 onwards and knew them well. At the same time, in addition to very private information, which also touches on a great love story, he provides insights into the contemporary history of the 20th century and and allows us for a better understanding of the philosopher´s behavior around 1933 and later. Fritz Heidegger proves himself to be a correspondent on equal footing, whose confident view of political events and whose sense of original phrasing are particularly impressive.
